Choose a specially formulated care

With skin five times thinner than that of your body, your lips require specific care. More fragile to external aggressions, particularly to temperature variations and pollution, they are prone to becoming dry. In winter and in summer, it is therefore vital to protect them with a dedicated care product as they are, together with your nose, the most exposed parts of your face.

To keep your lips irresistible, choose rich formulas with vegetable-based ingredients, such as L'Occitane's balms. Sweet almond, honey and shea butter intensely nourish and repair your lips thanks to their ultra-moisturising properties. Ideal for managing chapped or cracked lips and other little niggles, giving you the long-lasting sensation of softness and well-being.

Perfect your beauty routine

Better still, combine pleasure and practicality by using tinted balms, which are more gentle than lipsticks. For a feminine look without foregoing the comfort of a protective formula, the Pivoine Lip Balms give you this added touch of colour. The icing on the cake? A creamy formula, enriched with the perfecting extract of the famous "queen of flowers", which hydrates your lips for 8 hours on the trot.

Rose Nude for a special occasion, Rose Ambré for a romantic dinner or Transparent for every day wear, you can match your tint to every event. Perfect for all types of complexion and hair colour, these balms also contain an SPF 25 for an optimum protection. With fresh colour and floral scent, your lips are sublime, revealing a beautiful natural softness.

Adopt good habits

In addition to choosing an effective care product, adopting certain key habits is vital for healthy lips. The words to remember? Exfoliation and moisturising. Just like your body, your lips need exfoliating every week to softly remove all fragments of dead skin. With a little sugar and honey, lightly rub your index finger in small circular movements over your lips. With your lips liberated in this way, your balm will be even more effective.

To moisturise your lips effectively, avoid the reflex of moistening them with your tongue. Saliva contains enzymes that dehydrate the body's tissues, so it has the opposite effect to that intended. Ideally, it is recommended that you drink at least 1.5 litres of water throughout the day. And don't forget to always keep your protective lip balm handy, to be liberally applied whenever you feel the need!
