Unique and poetic, the Immortelle fascinates everyone, as much for its ambergris fragrance as its amazing longevity. With the scientific name Helichrysum italicum, it has been used since ancient times, in various and varied forms. But it was the princess Nausicaa, daughter of the Phoenician king, to which Homer attributed in his famous Odyssey the importance of this beauty secret, used by Ulysses’ benefactor as a face and body treatment.

During the twentieth century, this plant, known as "beauty of the maquis," revealed amazing properties in phytotherapy, due to its golden flowers, in addition to its energizing qualities. Applied as fragrant essential oil or cream, it was especially recognized for its effectiveness in healing bruises, cuts and burns.

But it is also used as a lotion to prevent skin conditions such as acne or eczema, while as a herbal tea, it banishes stomachache. So many benefits that make this wonderful plant, with almost 500 wild varieties, one of the most popular in the Mediterranean.
